Hosts
Trent Lackey is a
graduate of the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro in a degree in International studies with a
concentration in Russian studies. He is also an
amateur scholar in a wide variety of subjects such
as anthropology, history, geopolitics, as well as a
number of paranormal disciplines. Especially
interested in the fields of cryptozoology
and cultural anthropology, he has read and
researched topics ranging from Nan Madol and the Moai in
Polynesia, to legends of Grendel and the Golem in Europe
and everything in between. His first love remains
the great mythic creatures of our collective past, such
as Nessie and Sasquatch, and he has held such
stories as the Mothman and the Kraken near to him from an
early age. Having conducted several ghost hunts with
varying degrees of success, he is certainly open minded
when it comes to the supernatural forces that may or may
not govern our world manifested in the form of
spirits and the restless dead. Sharing these interests
with his childhood friend J. Scott,Trent was more
than happy to join him as a host for the new paranormal
talk show experiment. He enjoys the ongoing
dialogue between the broad spectrum of
belief systems and theories that make up the
paranormal world as well as offering such topics to
an audience who might share an interest in them
unbeknowst.
Chuck Browder is a high school graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts. He is also a Guilford College graduate of the same 2003 class as J. Scott, holding degrees in both Music and Political Science. During his matriculation through higher education, Chuck has had the pleasure of studying with individuals such as: Los Angles recording engineer Thomas T.J. Johnson, Vietnam advisor and German history expert Dr. Louis B. Fike, and world-renowned composer Kenneth Frazelle. Chuck is a classical guitarist and a fan of music from classical and progressive to hip-hop and heavy metal. His interests are not limited solely to music, but also include politics, science fiction, and conspiracy theories. Some of the domestic political figures he finds most fascinating range from contemporaries like former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and former Senator John Edwards to historic figures such as former President Richard M. Nixon and former Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. He is also a fan of Oliver Stone as well as Star Trek and the X-Files. His love for science fiction and conspiracy theories motivated him and his college roommate to travel to Rachel, NV. There they purchased a map of the Area 51 facility and were careful not to trespass. There they conducted a visual investigation of Area 51 taking several pictures, unfortunately all to no avail. No aliens or UFOs were observed, however, the trip back to Las Vegas included a stay at the Star Trek Hilton. Chuck
began his stint at WOTU in June of 2006. His study
in the field of recording engineering has contributed in
some part to the continued success of the show. He
got his first shot on-air at WOTU during the Alice Krige,
A.K.A. the Borg Queen, interview. During this
interview, Chuck revealed his fanaticism for the Star
Trek franchise. He went as far as to reveal he had
been to the Smithsonian exhibit for the 25th
anniversary of Star Trek, where he was privileged to sit
in the original Captains chair. (Yes, his butt was
actually in contact with a piece of television history). Dee Clements is currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (where Trent Lackey graduated) , majoring in Art Education. He has been friends with J. Scott and Trent Lackey since high school. He has always been interested in mythology and ancient history, which lends itself to stories of werewolves, ancient beasts, and other unexplained phenomenon. He is skeptical of many things labeled "paranormal" but does believe in spirits and other extraordinary events such as miracles. |
